Welcome to the Wellspring. What is the wellspring? It is a springing well, otherwise called a fountain. Within this well, or fountain, is the Knowledge of the Holy One. Let me explain. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." Proverbs 9:10 (NKJV, NIV) Understanding is a wellspring of life to him who has it. Proverbs 16:22 (NKJV)
Most of us have some knowledge of the book of Proverbs and know that it contains many sayings (proverbs) that are intended for guidance in the affairs of life. The purpose of the proverbs was given in Chapters 1:2–6. My purpose is not to comment on the proverbs in particular, but to illustrate the importance of the theme of the book, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting, get understanding.” Proverbs 9:10 KJV.
I believe that it should be the desire of every child of God to apply this principle to the studying of the Word of God. The apostle Peter instructs us to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 3:18 (KJV). I believe that we can only do this through careful studying of the word of God. Jesus’ response to his critics was, “Search the Scriptures, for in them, you think you have eternal life; and these are they that testify of Me.” John 5:39 (NKJV). The Bible is God's story.
Most of the church of Jesus Christ have not learned the proper way to study the Bible. There has been no one to teach us how, since the passing of the apostles, so we have fumbled our way for centuries. They did not know how themselves, but the Lord taught them before His ascension and they applied it. You can see this in practice throughout their epistles [letters]. If we did not build on their foundation, we are on shaky ground. See 1 Corinthians 3:11 and Ephesians 2:20. Church history shows that men did not do so after the Roman persecution ended. They built a separate foundation from that of the apostles. It is therefore not in our systematic theology. What has been wrong 1500 years ago has been perpetuated throughout the ages. We have developed various methods of studying the Bible but I believe that they all have fallen short. We must do it God's way.
It is not in the form of exegesis, etymology or hermeneutics that is practiced today. Those all have scholastic value but they do not give one spiritual understanding and they bear no veracity. God's Word is established by two or three witnesses. Many do not know how God use these witnesses to certify His Word. They have no revelation why Jesus is called the Faithful and True Witness. I will share these teachings below.
The objective of the scriptures is for us to hear what the VOICE of God is saying to us. We must develop a relationship to His Voice. In simple terms, He speaks and we hear [with our spiritual ears]. In the Garden of Eden, it was the Voice of God. On Mount Sinai, it was the Voice of God. In the New Covenant is the Voice of the Son of God. We have come to God by the hearing of faith. Faith comes by hearing and hearing is by the Word of God. The Word spoken without the Spirit has no power to bring transformation. Many are deceived, by listening to the voice of men, and not the voice of God in the church. Marvel not. Only His sheep has been given ears to hear. They have not even followed the Lord's instructions on how the Bible is to be studied. Yes, it is given in scriptures.
Verily “the entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple (Psalm 119:130 (KJV). Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; My ears You have opened. Burnt offering and sin offering You did not require (Psalm 40:6 (NKJV). These scriptures indicate that we are clearly dependent upon God. Understanding is therefore a gift. We cannot lean unto our own understanding - Proverbs 3:5.
As one who called in the Five-fold Ministry as a teacher and has been commissioned by the Lord to "give my people understanding, "I am troubled that there are so many misunderstood passages of scripture and the lack of revelation of so many of them. We must pray for the eyes of our understanding to be opened, but we cannot do so if we think that we have the length, width, height and depth in this thing.
I see many things in the scriptures that are hidden from the eyes of men. For example, if eyes could even see the depth of God's work that is culminated in 1 John 5:20, we would fall to our knees and give Him glory. From this springing fountain will come life and light, and we shall never be in darkness again. Below, I will clarify a few misunderstood passages in the Bible and open up some understanding to those who wants to listen.
The non-biblical trinity doctrine
